With August nearing its end and school back in session, I am craving fall like nothing else. Honestly, once July 4th is done, I become anxious for the season and all its golden splendor. The crisp, cool air that warrants a cute sweater or scarf and affirms that it’s officially okay to have that hot cocoa. The happy pumpkins on doorsteps and porches. Decorated business doors and windows that celebrate with warm colors and gilded accents, and only heighten your excitement. Fall brings its own kind of magic.
Today, I’m sharing a few items I’m eyeing for the season.
I’ve already purchased the pumpkin pillow cover, and it is even more beautiful in person! This will be going in my sunroom. I also snagged the leopard scarf (a great neutral for fall!), the black bell sleeve top, and the bell sleeve cardigan (love the color so much!).
What styles and decor are on your radar for fall?

Hi, everyone! The last couple weeks have been full but so productive and good. There are a few things that I am loving lately and thought I’d share with you. Let me know of any favorites you have lately in the comments below!
First up are new sheets and shams from Serena & Lily. I was shopping for sheets for a while and fell in love with these. I love the blue and white design, and am so glad that they are also super comfy! The shams are clean and simple with just the right pop of color. Very happy with these. A little more money, but I waited to purchase during a sale; and knowing you spend about one-third of your day in bed, you can’t put a price on quality and comfort for a good night’s sleep.
Next up is the complete first season of The Flintstones. Hanna-Barbera cartoons were some of my favorite as a kid, so this was absolutely a buy spurred on by nostalgia. I’ve been watching episodes when I just want to turn my mind off and relax, and it’s been nice. Still fun to watch, too! Found at Target but also available at Wal-Mart.
Finally, are these espadrilles by Sam Edelman. Purchased on sale a couple weeks ago at Nordstrom thinking they’d be great for fall. They are super comfy, and I love this neutral color. They pair well with just about anything! The color is oatmeal suede and have since sold out at Nordstrom but are still available here.
I’d love to hear about any favorites that you have! Happy Monday!
Believe it or not, I’m not big on shopping. I love getting new clothes but hate going on the search for things I need. I tend to stick with pieces that are classic, timeless, and easy to wear, and have a few go-to places where I know I’ll find exactly that.
When you do find a good thing, you’ve just got to share. These embroidered shorts are it! Bright, comfortable, and finished with the prettiest details. Not too short, not too long and in a lightweight cotton-linen fabric. They’re perfect for summer. Plus, that blue!
Also worth noting: they’re lined and feature a smocked waistband (super comfy and a nice, flattering fit).
I’ve paired them with fitted tees and tanks and a fun statement earring and absolutely love them. If you’re in the market for a great pair of shorts, I am happy to recommend these. If you want something more neutral, they’re also available in white. You can shop them here.

Memorial Day weekend is upon us, so I’ve rounded up just a few of my favorite picks for the holiday. It’s the unofficial kickoff to summer, and I’m thinking of all the fun memories of the holiday and the laid-back days it welcomes. Celebrating with family and friends, grilling outside, homemade banana pudding, lawn games, and maybe a dip in the pool, too.
