December. How perfectly it arrived – with a cold and gray morning that felt completely cozy. This time of year I’m content to be tucked away – reading beside the soft glow of lights on our Christmas tree or snuggled up under a big blanket with Derek and Rosemary for a holiday movie or special.
Our Thanksgiving holiday was simple and sweet. Good food, conversation, and time together; and this year, we have so much to be extra thankful for, and we thank God for all of it.
I also managed to complete most of our Christmas shopping and even secured a couple items for myself during Black Friday sales – this and this being top of list!
Our calendar is filling up with festive and fun activities, starting this weekend with a birthday and cookie decorating party.
We’re also planning to do a Christmas craft with Rosemary in the next week, and I have a couple ideas in mind. I’ll be heading to Hobby Lobby to see what supplies I can find, but this and this are possibilities.
