Rosemary will make two years this summer. Two years. It goes just as quickly as they say, and I have lived with an awareness of that – appreciating all the little moments, seeing who she is and who she’s becoming. I always want to remember her in this moment in time.
My personal musings below.
How do I bottle up the sweetness of you?
The soft spoken “hi, Mama.”
The just because kisses and the ones to make it better.
Your curiosity and delight in the little things.
In finding acorns.
In the telling of stories and the pages of books.
The stacking of puzzle pieces.
The way you peek around the corners of our home with the sweetest smile.
Small hands that hold on to mine.
Cuddles on the sofa.
The excited “Mama” and “Dada.”
Grabbing noses and saying “gos, gos” (honk, honk).
The way you lovingly carry your lamb and cow and bunny, too.
“Puppa!”
How you like to help and hug and be held.
You in your sleep sack.
The joy in play.
The joy in praise.
The bedtime snuggles and prayers.
One more kiss before goodnight.
How I cherish this season, and every little ounce of the sweetness of you.
