Earlier this month we celebrated Rosemary with her first birthday party! This past year with her has been the best and sweetest. From the moment Rosemary arrived, she captured our hearts with her chubby, little cheeks and sweet disposition – and the wildest (loudest) hiccups! Rosemary has blossomed since her early days into a curious, joyful, determined, dainty, kind, cheeky, and loving little girl – the best we could have prayed for. It’s easy to celebrate her.
When it came to planning Rosemary’s party, we wanted it to be simple and sweet with mostly our immediate families present. We started with this sweet and playful invitation from Dogwood Hill (just after Rosemary had the cutest encounter with one of the penguins at the Aquarium). From there, we pulled color, and the details quickly came together. We kept the food easy with finger sandwiches, Chick-fil-A nuggets and a fruit tray, bags of Pirates Booty for the kids, spinach and artichoke dip and chips (which my uncle prepared), and cake! We also had ice cream cups in the freezer but completely forgot about them! No one seemed to notice, though… or at least didn’t mind. A memorable event for certain!
Here are the items we used to celebrate:
Sunshine plates by Meri Meri via Homegoods
Cake by The Sweet Life Bakery
Animal Crackers for party favors (favor bags found at Hobby Lobby)
Balloons
