Happy October, friends! September was a whirlwind of a month. Our days were full with a couple unexpected home repair issues that needed to be addressed, a short hurricane evacuation, and even a couple birthday celebrations. I’m finally sitting down to write here again with just a few things that have brought me joy lately and thought were worth sharing.
- A new book. I’ve just read the introduction and first chapter and already know this is a good one. It was a gift and couldn’t have been more timely! Powerful, insightful, and life-giving.
- A Paris Proposal. Recently watched this via Amazon Prime because it looked cute and stars Alexa PenaVega (and I usually enjoy her Hallmark movies). This one is a Hallmark movie, and it is funny and sweet. A great movie night or date night pick.
- The Dick Van Dyke Show. Another freebie for Amazon Prime members. This has been a fun watch for me lately, and I have a whole new appreciation for the sitcom as an adult. It’s wholesome and funny in a way you don’t often see today with new shows. Just a great cast, and Dick Van Dyke is a comedic and entertaining gem! Feels like I’m back at my grandmother’s watching Nick at Nite.
- Mary Janes. I absolutely love these. A great addition for fall, and the color is perfect! I have them in raspberry, but the chocolate is equally beautiful.
- Plates and spoons for Rosemary. These have been game-changers for us. The suction on the plates is amazing, and they hold up well; and the spoons have excellent depth to hold food, and are easier for Rosemary to grip. Funny the things you appreciate as a parent.
