There is so much in my head and in my heart that I want to talk about. I’m just going to start writing about these things.
Something I saw this week got me thinking…
I watched an old episode of Family Matters. (Remember the Winslows and Steve Urkel?)
In this particular episode, Steve went to church with the Winslows and became a Christian. And then he joined the choir.
And I thought. How awesome? There is so much junk on tv these days. Quality content is lacking and you don’t see much in terms of traditional, family values – wholesome, clean, and simply fun.
I just want to see the good stuff again. I want to celebrate the good, the wholesome, the life-giving things.
God never created us to know evil; that came in because of sin. But how many of us allow ourselves to see, hear, and read content that only creates confusion, clouds our judgment, and distorts our view and understanding of what’s truly good?
I’ll eventually take this further in how it relates to our Christian faith and walk, but for now, just this.
💙Today’s verse💙
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8
