I am long overdue for an update, so I’ll dive right in! It feels like so much has happened since my last post and yet also, so little. Life is full and in the best way. The ordinary everyday is met with some extraordinary moments. And motherhood is just an added blessing! It’s an incredible privilege and responsibility that can be exhausting at times, but it’s also some of the most fun of your life!
Rosemary is nine months(!) and doing so well. Crawling and attempting to stand on her own lately. She is curious about the world around her and ready to be on the move! She has also begun trying to give me kisses on my cheeks and even attempts the “mwah” sound – one of the cutest things ever. She especially enjoys playtime with Dad and lights up when she sees him.
We had a wonderful Easter weekend celebrating Jesus (He is risen!) and eating crawfish with family in Mississippi. We don’t see them as often as we would like, but it’s always fun when we can get together. My grandmother has been such a blessing to me and to Rosemary, and it’s the sweetest thing to see the two of them together.
I’ve been working on a fun project that I’m excited to share more about soon, and we are simply energized and excited for this season and what’s ahead.
One of my favorite things to do is to get in some good teaching. My go-to is the Charis Bible College channel on YouTube. Solid biblical teaching that is so good. They do regular live Bible studies and also share from their archives. I’ll put something on in the morning during breakfast or mid-day while I feed Rosemary and get her settled for a nap. It’s just awesome to sit under sound teaching.
I’ve been thinking about Rosemary’s first birthday. Gosh, I cannot believe we are already here! I’ve started to play around with a few ideas but know we want it to be simple and sweet.
Spring has been rejuvenating. I’m ready to jump right in to spring cleaning and sprucing up our yard and garden. It has been way too long! Longer days, more sunshine, and the return of colorful blooms, and still a little bit of coolness on our family walks. Fall is my favorite, but spring is doing a great job of showing off lately. We even got to enjoy the most perfect zoo day over the weekend!
Here’s to a beautiful season!
