There’s nothing like a classic chocolate chip cookie. Paired with a glass of cold milk, it may be one of the most satisfying and comforting treats of all time. Homemade is always better – in my opinion – so when I can, I do! Usually going into a weekend.
This classic chocolate chip cookie recipe never disappoints, and crazy as it may sound, they taste even better with my favorite chocolate chips! Soft and chewy (without being gooey).
Tip: These would also be perfect for handing out in cute goody bags to fall festers or trick or treaters!
Here is the exact recipe I follow for the best classic chocolate chip cookies.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 – 1 cup Enjoy Life semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Beat butter in a medium size mixing bowl.
Gradually add sugars.
Add egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the shortening mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes. Let cool, and enjoy.
