Growing up, my family was a big Disney fam. My first trip to Walt Disney World was at age two, and I came to love Disney for its family-friendly entertainment, strong storytelling and way of immersing people in a story, and ability to help create unforgettable family moments.
I used to buy the latest guides of Birnbaum’s Walt Disney World to plan out different vacation packages, always looking forward to our next adventure. I’ve continued to travel with family and friends over the years, and now, I am so excited to be taking our first ever Disney vacation as a family of three!
It will be a new experience for us – doing Disney with a little one of our own. But oh my goodness, we are SO looking forward to it!
Part of the fun in planning is preparing for the days ahead. I purchased the above outfit for Rosemary shortly after booking our trip (because how sweet?), and since then I’ve pulled together our essentials and a few other cute finds and styles for a trip to Walt Disney World.
Comfortable shoes and clothes (nothing new there). Supergas have been my preferred shoe at Disney. They’re classic, comfortable, and pair well with shorts and dresses alike. I will also be packing these which I plan to wear on our rest day and to the pool. I have the above sandals and sneakers for Rosemary but also like these. Sunglasses. I also love these Mickey ears hair clips! This one is cute, too. Sunscreen. A portable charger. Rain jackets (we’ve used ponchos, too). An easy belt bag. Snacks – we are bringing plenty of snacks for park days: a variety of these, these, these, and these. A good water bottle (got this one for Rosemary!). We will absolutely have a stroller, but we are also going to give this a try. My parents had a wrist-to-wrist style for my little sister back in the 90s, and I think this will allow Rosemary to feel some independence in roaming while still being attached to one of us. Also considering an air tag – let me know if you have thoughts on that.
We are taking our own stroller which has a rain cover, and Rosemary’s portable fan. Here’s a good travel umbrella. I know we’ll be utilizing the baby care centers within the parks, and this accessory always comes in handy for travel and outings.
I found so many great Disney options for girls and boys, but without going too crazy, here are a few of my favorites: these shorts. This set and tee for girls. This cute tee, this, this, and these for boys. These tees, too.
I think that about covers it! Let me know if you have any questions. We are well-seasoned Disney vacationers, and I’m happy to offer any tips you may need.
