So maybe 2020 wasn’t my favorite year, but I can still see the blessings within it.
I had great moments with family and friends and appreciated the small things. I went on more walks. Baked banana bread for the first time. Spent more time with my hubby. Appreciated our home. Traveled to Texas and Florida. Focused more on Jesus and spent more time in the Word and in prayer.
I watched God restore what was once lost in my own life, strengthen relationships, and awaken and change hearts as only He can.
When I grew weary of the world’s wisdom, I was encouraged by truth.
When I was uncomfortable, I found comfort and peace in God alone.
I was never more homesick for Heaven than I was this year, but never more emboldened to make the most of my time and to speak life and stand upon the truth of God’s Word.
My desire for God’s Word, for truth, for protecting life, religious liberty and freedom, and the things that matter to God grew so much! God sparked new ideas and vision within me that I am so excited to pursue with Him!
2020 may not have been what any of us expected, but I can look back and see the good.
With a new year on the horizon, I am excited for what’s ahead, for opportunities to love and serve, to nurture relationships, to pursue God and to see Him continue to work in our lives, community, nation, and world. I cannot wait to share more with you in the days to come.
God bless you guys, and I pray that you know His love and goodness in 2021!
Happy New Year, friends!
