Happy 2025, friends! Hope the holidays were merry and you are hopeful and excited for the new year.
It feels like a fresh start, and it’s a great time to get organized to best focus, prioritize, and be intentional in the year ahead.
Prior to the start of each new year, I begin selecting the tools I’ll use to help keep me on track throughout the year. With each decision, I get just as excited as I did as a young girl picking out school supplies for the school year.
Nothing crazy; just a few, simple tools that make my days a little easier.
Simplified has been my go-to for more than a decade. Beautiful, functional, and practical, these are products I look forward to using and having at the ready.
Number one is my planner. I have tried the Simplified daily, weekly, and the Dapperdesk planner. I absolutely loved my blue Dapperdesk planner for 2024, but for 2025, I’m back to a daily planner in pistachio plaid (25% off right now with code HAPPY2025). This is the pen I’m using with it; it’s clean and doesn’t bleed through the pages. I also use these in black and various colors.
This year, after years without, I’m also back to using a wall calendar. Following in my Mom’s footsteps, I hung this in our kitchen using one of these hooks. It’s the perfect location for us to look ahead at what’s going on. With a growing family, I thought it would be useful to have a calendar we can each easily reference and add to as needed. For the calendar, I like using this pen.
New, too… stickers! Ha! This is a fun addition. I love having visual markers for birthdays, appointments, tasks, and reminders, and holidays and activities.
I also love having a notepad on hand. The ones I have are currently unavailable, but this is a nice alternative! I’ve also found some great padfolio notepads at Target.
Beyond the physical products, a great tool for our family is a shared note in our notes app. Derek and I will list out our weekly meal plan and create a running grocery list that we can add to throughout the week. When we make our weekly grocery run at the start of the week, everything we need is easily accessible. No forgetting the list at home.
So, there you have it. Just a few items that make a big difference.
What organizational tools are you loving these days?
