Monday Morning Reflection :: No. 3

It’s been a rainy and relaxing few days here. Spaghetti dinner on Friday night and the new Netflix movie, The Gray Man (an action-packed movie that both Derek and I enjoyed!), a trip to the bookstore, some reading, church, and prep for the week ahead. We also watched the latest James Bond movie, No Time to Die (it seems we were a couple of couch potatoes!), and it’s a good one. If you watch it, be sure to prep yourself because it’s nearly three hours long, but again, so good.

We’ve been going through the book of Habakkuk at church, and the message has been timely. If you’ve ever questioned God about the things you see in the world around you, ever wondered why you face the challenges that you do, ever wondered what God is doing in the moments when He seems silent, this is a message for you. You can check it out here.

And I know we are in the dog days of summer, but my gosh, I am just so ready for fall! I took a look at some of the new fall arrivals at Potterybarn, and I cannot wait. Getting so inspired by these, this, this, and this, and for a more playful vibe, loving these and this.

Finally, a verse for today:

But it is good for me to draw near to God;
I have put my trust in the Lord God,
That I may declare all Your works.

Psalm 73:28
